songs mom did not believe her when she tried to buy toys/blocks that were bad and could have been foul with lead. Her mom could not understand and tried to buy them, which only when lead Melody to cause a tantrum at heart the store. Her parents ended up bringing her to the doctor, and found out that she would not have a voice literally. This only made Melody and her parents more compelled to get Melody a voice, in one way or another, starting with Mrs. V and Catherine at school.

her peers:
Melody had to struggle with peers at school not apprehensiveness what she would go through on an everyday basis. She was thought of not having any thoughts or any feeling at all (specifically with Molly and Claire). These two bullies were soon to find out through personal experience with Melodys Medi-Talker she would no hourlong be out of her mind but be able to speak out of her mind.
Melody vs. her teachers:
There is a teacher: Mrs. Gordon who had punished the two bullies who were making fun of the retarded, and helped Melody any way possible. Her mathematics teacher (Mr. Dimming) was surprised when he found that Melody could solve the problems given to her.
