National Lampoons Animal House is a movie about the competition between two fraternities at Faber College, the uptight-ultra-conservative Omegas and the drunken brothers of Delta house. The chaos starts from the precise beginning of the movie but does not kick glum in full force until the head of the college, Dean Wormer, decides to turn out pot the Deltas. When he fin wholey is able to close down the Delta fraternity, they do the only logical thing. The guys build a resist float and run rampant at the homecoming parade. on the way to being thrown off campus, the Delta brothers make a road trip to find dates, shoplift sweaters full of centerfield from the grocery store, try to pick up the Deans wife, declare a food fight in the cafeteria, throw one nut house of a toga party, and accidently kill ROTC Commander Neidermeyers horse.
This movie was directed by John Landis released by Universal Studios. The film was written by Harold Ramis, Douglas Kenney, and Chris Miller. National Lampoons Animal House is set in 1962 and was released for the branch time in 1978. The film stars the late John Belushi as Bluto, one of the party-hearty members of the Delta fraternity. I say stars because Belushi is the most recognizable character, and Bluto is of all time featured every time you see the film advertised.
besides this is a film of maybe ten different stars, all of whom get ample screen time, and are all unresolved of carrying the scene they are in. From the bad guys Dean Wormer (John Vernon) and Doug Neidermeyer (Mark Metcalf) to the rest of the fun-loving Deltas, this is probably one of the finest casts ever assembled (in relation to the film they are in).
