I believe that cults are a very raise but yet a very touchy display case as well. As I looked into the cults of Jim Jones, I found step to the fore exactly why. Jim Jones was the fo on a lower floor and leader of a cult c eithered, The pots Temple. He began this church group in 1953, as an independent minister in Indianapolis. After getting appointive in 1964 jones decided to move to California and start his make church. He opened the first church in San Francisco and whence later opened another in Los Angeles. Jim Jones peaked as many as 8,000 members at one point in the 70s. Although the cult was racially diverse in all ways, it loosely consisted of African Americans.
Jones was also an active member in governing and often helped come out different leaders though out their debates. Some of the leaders that he really contributed to were Willie Brown, Jerry Brown, and George Moscone. Jones helped these men acidify up thousands at their events or effort. Moscone actually gave Jones a buns on the San Francisco Housing Authority Commission. Jerry Brown would even tease in on a couple of services that Jim would talk at Peoples Temple.
Mr. Jones had gotten a lot of people to follow him with his inspirational words and kindness towards everyone. Some thought that jones was just a big fake and told the press negative this about him.
