The purpose of this lab was to determine the immersion of a regularly shaped physical goal, an occasionally shaped object, and an unfathomed liquid. I thought that the small, gold, cylinder shaped object would be more dense than the pissing. My hypothesis was correct. Right when we put the irregular shaped object in the water, it sunk right to the bottom.
The starting line thing that we were supposed to do was, measure the volume of the regularly shaped object. accordingly we were to find the host and denseness of the object. Then we had to measure the volume of the extraterrestrial being liquid. later that, we had to determine the mass and parsimony. Then we determined the mass of the irregularly shaped object. After that, we filled the cylinder with some water and measured the use up amount we had. Then we carefully dropped the irregularly shaped object into the water and calculated the density.
The object sunk because it was denser thusly the water. The density of the irregularly shaped object was 10g/cm cubed.
And the density of water is 1g/cm cubed. So, obviously the object was greatly denser than the water. When we measured the density of the unknown liquid, we got .81g/cm cubed. It was not very dense at all. The results defiantly supported class concepts.
If the experiment wouldve gone differently, then the results would have come out different. The class concept was that if the unknown liquid is denser then the object being displaced, then the object would float and not sink. And the class concept was correct.
