However, Postman denied the possibility of a perfect narrative. He suggests that hitherto a narrative places somebody in hell, it is break dance to be in hell than to be nowhere (Postman 13). In his book, Postman returns to a familiar subject, the meaning of education. He notice the akin question than many students has already asked. I think the answer he gave is very clear, but a bit narrow. He suggests that we need a reason or a narrative to survive.
He also mentioned that even the reason we adopt is preposterous or completely insane, is better then not behave one. However, it is very hard to maintain the reason when we know it is wrong. The prank, as he said in the chapter, became the meaning of our life. If we need an illusion to survive, it will be self-contradictory, because we know that an illusion is not true, we put up not believe in an illusion. Moreover, When Hitler was massacring people; he believes that he is doing the right thing. Thus, if we just adopt a reason or a narrative that we believe is right, I think it is better to not have one.
