Vendor managed inventory (VMI) arrangement in which both emptor and supplier share internal information to integrate their plans, forecasts, and tar schedules to ensure a smooth flow of goods and services as they are needed. Collaborative cookery, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR®) is a course practice that combines the intelligence of multiple trading partners in the proviso and fulfillment of guest demand. CPFR is one of a series of communicate chain initiatives like JIT (Just-In-Time), ECR (Efficient Customer Response) and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) driven by organizations to influence their supply chains more responsive and keep wholly the supply chain members in tune with the end customer demand, both in terms of the product and its volumes.
